A day in the life
As the new member of the accounts receivable team, as our credit control officer, you will collect outstanding invoices in a range of accounts for national and international customers. This will ensure that you achieve excellent invoice collection KPI’s as per the company standards and business expectations by operating efficiently and effectively.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring all travel agent invoices are paid by the due date
- If travel agent invoices are unpaid, following strict procedures including debt recovery
- Communicating with key stakeholders
- Providing customer service to customers who have queries on their invoices and resolving any short payments with the relevant agent or internal department
- Working closely with other departments to share information and ideas and to assist in developing strong communication between all divisions
- Reconciling and allocating funds deposited into our bank accounts to the relevant customer
- Assisting other team members with queries when required
- Assisting in the development and implementation of new solutions
- Supporting your manager or team leader by highlighting any potential credit risks to the business.
About you:
To be successful in the role, you need the following:
- High level of Customer Service
- Well-developed problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and listening)
- Good understanding of the air ticket consolidation systems.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and self-motivation.
- Good organizational and priority management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
- High level of analytical skills.
- Previous account reconciliation experiences an advantage.
