A day in the Life

Working within the Commercial Division of Helloworld Travel Ltd, the role is responsible for the end-to-end process of negotiating, distributing and managing all airfare products from preferred airline partners. 

Working with our internal ticketing businesses, marketing area and retail agency members, the role will be responsible for managing the current suite of air products, as well as securing and implementing a broader range of airfare offers to enhance our airfare value proposition, grow the air sales category, and improve margins.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Working with all preferred airlines negotiating and implementing private, net, wholesale and any other unique fares required by the business
  • Managing the distribution of airfares through our ticketing businesses
  • Supporting airfare marketing campaigns by pricing up airfares
  • Analyzing sales performance of airfare sales campaigns 
  • Providing competitive analysis of airfares and monitoring airfare trends
  • Providing input into NDC sales channel strategies

About You:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Extensive experience in using Global Distribution Systems (GDS’s)
  • Thorough knowledge of airfare products
  • Technical expertise in the distribution of airfares
  • Ability to price up B2B and B2C airfare pricing campaigns
  • Existing relationships with a broad range of airlines
  • An understanding of New Distribution Capabilities (NDC)
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft products especially Excel and PowerPoint
