About the Role

The purpose of this role is to work closely with the GM of Marketing and Senior Marketing Executive to help support the execution of campaigns in market in line with the company’s strategy, meeting delivery deadlines to support both Helloworld Retail the organisation’s wholesale brands; Viva Holidays, ReadyRooms and Cruiseco. The key outcome of this role is to provide all-round administration and support, coordinate advertising and promotional enquiries and other initiatives.

You will need exceptional customer service skills, strong communication abilities, and proficiency in computer programs and applications. This career requires a high level of creativity, solid organizational skills, and a willingness to collaborate with staff teams. Digital communication experience and social media expertise are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities in this role:

  • Working closely with the Senior Marketing Executive and General Manager to assist with the execution of advertising and promotional campaigns to support the organisation’s retail and wholesale brands. 
  • Be a subject matter expert for destination and product information. 
  • Ensure all deadlines that apply to the business are met daily. 
  • Maintain relationships with the Product Development team to ensure consistent alignment of promotional activity.
  • Support Senior Marketing Executive and General Manager to achieve flawless execution of campaigns and activities to achieve agreed KPI’s. 
  • Working with peers to effectively communicate the activities across the organisation in a timely manner.
  • Co-ordinate and develop marketing assets, collateral, and other marketing materials to support retail distribution channels.
  • Manage Marketing campaigns in partnership with the marketing services team and preferred suppliers with responsibility for;
    1. Alignment and coordination of Marketing campaign activities within the organisation’s broader marketing calendar
    2. Relevant approvals from partners and legal 
    3. Providing support agents/members through creation and delivery of collateral and communications to amplify their local area marketing efforts. This can include but is not limited to advertising, direct mail, event marketing, sponsorships, and promotional campaigns
    4. Assistance to agents/agencies regarding placement of media, copy checking and artwork approval (normally on short turnaround times)
    5. Ensure all content, collateral, information, offers, and creative materials are accurate, ready in a timely manner and understood by agents/members prior to Local Area Marketing execution
  • Assist General Manager – Marketing in the completion of Marketing campaign updates and reports in a timely manner.
  • Ensure Marketing activities are included in the broader marketing department’s calendar.
  • Maintain updated files of projects and updated activity schedules.
  • Ensure any material created can be replicated for any agents or members – to avoid duplication of cost and effort in production of materials
  • Process quotes & invoicing in a timely manner and ensuring that accruals are recorded against the budget
  • Effectively work as part of the marketing team, display teamwork principles and positively contribute to the creation of a harmonious work environment
  • Developing a strong working relationship with suppliers, agencies, partners, and agents/members to ensure flawless execution of campaigns
  • Maintain a professional image when representing when representing Helloworld Limited at external meeting and functions.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Qualifications in Marketing, Business or a related discipline preferred.
  • Working knowledge of the travel or related industry preferred
  • Understanding of marketing distribution channels and processes and performance metrics advantageous
  • Strong planning and organisational skills with a willingness to respond to changes quickly and a proven track record in delivering multifaceted projects is required
  • Proactive with a hands on approach and a willingness to work within a team 
  • A proven track record in the creation and development of effective relationships within a marketing environment will be well regarded
  • An empathetic disposition 
  • Strong attention to detail with proven analytical skills
  • Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills are mandatory
  • High degree of professionalism and integrity

This is a Full time role in the marketing team based in Melbourne, Normanby Rd, and is not a hybrid position.
