About Us

ATS Pacific / AOT (a subsidiary company of Helloworld Travel) is an Inbound Operator Coordinating travel arrangements around New Zealand for International visitors. 

We currently employ more than 650 people across New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, India, and Greece. Through this talented group of people, the company supports a large network of travel agencies.

Based in Auckland, this role is a great opportunity for an Operations Manager to grow their career in an international company. 

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Effective management and Coordination of the Reservations Team. (FIT and Groups)
  • Sales targets – meet/exceed sales objectives and budget requirements.
  • Maintain the agreed internal and external Service Levels Agreements.
  • Set and monitor individual staff KPIs
  • Monitor Internal systems suggesting synergies where appropriate.
  • Address customer issues or concerns within the agreed Service Level Agreements.
  • Build customer relationships with customer groups.
  • Conduct regular meetings with all direct reports and 6 monthly PDR reviews.   
  • Identify training requirements and development areas.
  • Provide Leadership and regular coaching and motivation 
  • Carry out Staff recruitment and selection process within company procedure in conjunction with the division manager
  • Liaise with other Operations areas of Helloworld in Australia and Fiji as required.

What You’ll Bring

  • Industry Experience – Inbound Operator (Tourplan) or Wholesale Operations Experience is preferred.
  • Coaching and Motivating Others – Understands peoples’ development needs and employs a variety of strategies to coach them to improve their performance.   Understands people’s drivers as a basis for motivating them
  • Builds Team Environment – Ability to foster a strong team environment where everyone is willing to contribute and participate
  • Communication – is able to communicate clearly and effectively and relates well to a wide range of people in both oral and written format. Excels at listening effectively
  • Achievement Orientation- Previous history of successfully delivering on multiple projects and objectives within agreed timeframes to achieve desired results and goals
  • Conflict Resolution – Manages difficult customers and situations with maturity and calm, seeking resolution from all stakeholders
  • Decision Making – bases complex or difficult decision making on balancing the opportunities and risks associated with the situation and acts accordingly 
  • Flexibility – Is able to adapt approach and plans to fit with changing conditions, tasks, responsibilities, or people
