About the Role:

As an experienced travel consultant, you will contribute to a growing business by leveraging your travel knowledge, selling preferred products, and building strong relationships with the local business and residential community in the Auckland CBD, and surrounding suburbs.

As the new Travel Consultant, you will be accountable for:

  • Providing excellence in customer service, from friendly greetings for phone or walk-in customers to fast turnaround of email or online enquiries. 
  • Using the in-house systems of Resworld, Air Tickets, GONet, Ready Rooms, and Cruise Pro to provide fast and efficient bookings and itineraries.
  • Promoting products and services to customers so that they may benefit from our negotiated preferred rates.
  • Adhering to being a ‘Trusted Travel Advisor’ with attention to detail, best advice on travel requirements and recommendations to ensure a favorable customer experience.
  • Working to achieve set Sales and Margin targets goals set by the Manager.
  • Assisting in organising and participating with in-store consumer events on a regular basis.
  • Assisting with team-work and administrative tasks where necessary.

All about you:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Previous experience as a travel consultant in a retail environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in customer excellence.
  • Ability to meet and exceed sales targets and service objectives.
  • Strong attention to detail and administration. 
  • Experience with GDS and other retail travel systems.
