About the Role:

In the position of Travel Manager, you will use your travel knowledge to contribute to a growing business, leading the team on sales, and service culture. At the same time, you will leverage your people skills and financial management to build a strong team, and develop strong relationships with the local businesses, and residential community in the CBD and surrounding suburbs.

As the Travel Manager, you will be accountable for

  • Developing the team to achieve excellence in customer service, sales & margin growth.
  • Achieving personal gross sales and margin, while leading the team members to achieve their individual targets, and together the store target.
  • Maximising the use of Resworld, Air Tickets, GONet, Ready Rooms, and Cruise Pro in-house systems to increase productivity.
  • Accurate financial management and adherence to budgets.
  • Ensuring that the use of preferred suppliers meets the 80% target of total sales.
  • The Successful management of the store and team
  • Achieving store, personal and team sales, margin and growth targets. 
  • Growth of the Customer Database
  • Achieving budgets for cost maintenance amd sales
  • Completing administrative tasks in a timely manner
  • Organising and attending in-store consumer events on a regular basis

All about you:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Previous experience of people management in a retail travel environment.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets and service objectives.
  • Strong travel knowledge and proven selling skills and achievements.
  • Awareness of employment standards to achieve a high level of staff engagement.
  • Demonstrated experience in customer excellence.
  • Strong attention to detail and administration.
